Not sure if this is a bug or user-error on my part, though I have been unable to find an option to turn it off.

In the last few weeks - not sure exactly when, but I am currently using 8.6 PREMIUM - text typed into notes is being double-spaced. For example, text added up to a few weeks ago appeared as:

text1
text2
text3

but text entered now appears as:

text 1

text 2

text 3

and if I add text to a note created before this change, I get:

text 1
text 2
text 3

text 4

text 5

This is not the insertion of a spurious new line as if I place the cursor before text 5 (in the above example) and delete a single character, I get:

text 4text 5

Hopefully this is just user-error and there is an option to revert this back to single-spacing as it is making a bit of a mess of my nicely laid out notes, and reduces (at worst, halves) the number of lines of text on the screen at one time.

I am running Android 7.0 (Nougat) on a stock Samsung Galaxy S6 in the UK.
